We support people to access meaningful employment and build lasting careers. We are backed by Royal Rehab Group, a respected not-for-profit with over 125 years of experience delivering disability and rehabilitation services.

Role overview: As a Career Coach, you'll support individuals with disability, injury or health conditions as they prepare for a meaningful career. You'll guide people through the job-readiness journey, helping them build confidence, develop skills, and achieve their career goals, from the first conversation to job application and interview preparation.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients as they plan their next career steps, helping them find the right job.
• Build strong relationships to understand each client's goals, strengths and support needs.
• Provide tailored coaching and regular check-ins to maintain motivation and progress.
• Connect participants with upskilling opportunities, hands-on experience, and group activities.
• Collaborate with employers and community services to create pathways to employment and training.
• Meet or exceed internal and external performance benchmarks.
• Champion Breakthru's values of inclusion, empowerment and person-centred practice.

About You

You bring empathy, energy and a drive to make a difference. You may have experience or a genuine passion for employment services. You're confident supporting people, building trust and guiding them toward meaningful and sustainable careers. You're outcomes-focused, highly organised, and thrive in a fast-paced, people-first environment. You enjoy getting to know each client's strengths, goals and challenges and coaching them to build confidence. You also engage with employers to understand their needs and prepare candidates who are the right fit. You have strong relationship-building skills and maintain accurate records with a high standard of service. You lead with integrity, empathy and inclusive, person-centred support.

Essential Criteria

• Qualifications in Employment or Human Services (e.g. Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work) – desirable
• Experience in employment services and supporting people with disability, injury, or health conditions
• Proven ability to meet KPIs and create client-focused employment and skills plans
• Confident in marketing clients to employers and facilitating group programs
• Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
• Knowledge of disability legislation, support strategies, and labour market trends
• Current Driver's License - essential
