With nearly a century of history and a commitment to innovation and operational excellence, we're seeking an experienced and driven Engineering Manager to lead critical maintenance and project initiatives at our state-of-the-art facility.

About the Role:

As the Engineering Manager, you will report directly to the National Operations Manager and work closely with the COO. You'll be responsible for the hands-on leadership and strategic direction of the engineering function, overseeing preventative and reactive maintenance while driving efficiency, automation, and project outcomes across our manufacturing operations.

This is an on-site leadership role based in Windsor Gardens, just 20 minutes from Adelaide CBD, and offers the opportunity to make a real impact within a high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a small team of engineering professionals and contractors.
• Take a hands-on approach in responding to critical breakdowns and major project installations.
• Drive and deliver capital upgrade and installation projects, ensuring scope, timeline, and budget are met.
• Identify and implement opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
• Ensure compliance with WHS and industry regulations and actively lead corrective actions from safety assessments.
• Maintain and oversee preventative maintenance schedules using internal maintenance systems.
• Monitor plant performance and work closely with operations to reduce downtime and optimize productivity.
• Manage external supplier relationships and stay abreast of technological advancements relevant to production.

About You:

• Tertiary qualifications and/or trade background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in engineering, maintenance, or project management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead end-to-end projects with strong results.
• Strong knowledge or understanding of safety compliance (machine guarding, risk assessments, WHS standards).
• Working knowledge of AUS/NZ standards in food production or a willingness to learn.
• Strategic thinker with strong hands-on leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
