We're now seeking an Engineering Manager to take charge of our engineering function and lead the next phase of our growth.

About the Role

This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing all engineering operations across the business. You'll lead a high-performing team through the design, development, and delivery of mechanical systems, with a strong focus on projects in defence and mining, as well as supporting critical infrastructure in water and wastewater industries.

You will bring a mix of strategic oversight, technical depth, and people leadership—ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical specialists across multiple project streams.

Drive engineering strategy, innovation, and continuous improvement across the business.

Oversee full project lifecycle—from concept to commissioning—across water, wastewater, defence, and mining sectors.

Ensure on-time, on-budget, high-quality project delivery.

Provide technical leadership in design management, quality, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Champion process improvement, HSE excellence, and team development.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, procurement, and external stakeholders.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline

10+ years of engineering experience, with 5+ years in a leadership capacity

Proven project experience in defence and/or mining is essential, plus exposure to water/wastewater.

Strong understanding of mechanical systems design and fabrication

Demonstrated success in leading teams and delivering high-value engineering projects

Excellent stakeholder engagement, project management, and communication skills

PE certification or equivalent is essential

Proficiency in engineering tools (CAD, PDM/PLM systems, etc.)

High-impact leadership role in a growing business
