About NBMLHD and role context

NBMLHD is a public health district seeking a dedicated professional to champion data integrity across the Patient Administration System (PAS) database shared by Western Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health Districts. The role involves identifying, resolving, and preventing duplicate patient and client registrations across NBMLHD facilities, and guiding staff on best practices for registration and record merging. Your work will support digital health infrastructure including the NBMLHD electronic health care record, the State Enterprise Registry (EPR), the Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR), the NSW HealtheNet Portal, and the National My Health Record.

What You Will Bring To The Role
  • Sound understanding of the importance of patient/client records and accurate client registration including privacy/confidentiality requirements and data reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in using databases and software.
  • Ability to work with patient/client registration systems and the ability to analyse patient data.
  • Sound written and oral communication skills with attention to detail and ability to make clear decisions.
  • Proven ability to develop effective working relationships with managers, co-workers and other staff.
  • Proven ability to prioritise tasks and ensure objectives are met.
  • Positive attitude and flexibility to maintain work standards and service focus in changing environments.
  • Ability to work at different physical facility locations across the district as required.
Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Champion data integrity across the PAS database and coordinate with NBMLHD facilities to identify and resolve duplicate registrations.
  2. Provide guidance to staff on registration best practices and record merging processes.
  3. Support the implementation and maintenance of digital health records and related systems as part of NBMLHD initiatives.
