  • Start ASAP for an initial contract till 30 June 2026
  • Rate: $89 to $123 per hour with 8 hour days.
  • Working arrangements: WFH and Canberra City (Currently the team work 1 day in the office and the remaining from home, this may increase to 2 office days in the future)

Our federal client is seeking a skilled and proactive Automation Test Analyst with expertise in the Tricentis TOSCA suite to join their dynamic team.

This role is critical to enhancing the quality and reliability of our digital services through robust test automation practices. As part of a collaborative and forward-thinking workplace, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality software solutions that support the Office's strategic objectives.

You will play a key role in designing and implementing automated testing frameworks, ensuring alignment with government standards and best practices. Your work will directly support the Office's digital transformation initiatives, helping to streamline testing processes, reduce delivery timelines, and improve system resilience. Role and Responsibilities

As an Automation Test Analyst specialising in the TOSCA suite, you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Tricentis TOSCA to support continuous integration and delivery across complex systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure test coverage aligns with business requirements.
  • Execute automated test suites, analyse results, and report defects using standard tools and processes.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of test frameworks, standards, and best practices within the Office.
  • Support the integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and assist with test environment configuration and management.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to testers and stakeholders on TOSCA capabilities and automation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Government standards for security, privacy, and accessibility in all testing activities

Professional / Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • engagement skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of Government ICT policies, standards, and frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Commitment to workplace diversity, participative work practices, workplace health and safety, and the ACTPS Code of Conduct Demonstrated experience in test automation using Tricentis TOSCA, including test case design, execution, and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Experience working within Agile and/or DevOps environments, with a focus on continuous testing and delivery.
  • Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder.
