As our Senior Instructional Designer, you'll be the visionary behind our AI-powered learning ecosystem across multiple school campuses. You'll leverage cutting-edge technology to create personalized learning pathways that adapt to each student's unique profile—all without traditional classroom teachers.

What You Will Be Doing
- Design and refine an AI-powered learning ecosystem that delivers measurable student achievement gains that surpass traditional educational models
- Connect with students through digital platforms to gather firsthand insights about their learning journeys, using this intelligence to drive ecosystem improvements
- Extract meaningful patterns from learning analytics to develop targeted academic interventions using AI/ML technology, learning science principles, and motivational strategies
- Foster an environment where bold experimentation and evidence-based practices thrive, using data to catalyze dramatic improvements in student growth
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, data scientists, and designers to transform academic insights and student feedback into seamless product enhancements
- Digitizing conventional classroom practices. We're not putting traditional education online—we're creating an entirely new learning paradigm.
- Working with data in a vacuum. You'll regularly interact with K-12 students, treating their feedback as vital customer input.
- Getting stuck in decision-by-committee processes. You'll lead with conviction, using data to drive your bold vision forward.
- Following educational orthodoxy. You'll have the freedom to explore groundbreaking approaches to motivation, assessment, and instructional design.
- Approaching AI with hesitation. Here, you'll embrace AI as a powerful catalyst for educational transformation, not as something to be feared.
Spearhead innovation in teacher-less, AI-powered education to deliver exceptional learning outcomes across multiple campus locations. Synthesize data analytics with direct student engagement to continuously enhance our learning ecosystem, with success measured through concrete metrics including AP exam performance and MAP assessment growth.
Basic Requirements
- Advanced degree (Master's or higher) in Learning Science, Educational Science, Instructional Design, Psychology, Psychometrics, or related discipline
- Demonstrated leadership experience within education or EdTech sectors
- Practical experience implementing AI technologies in educational or professional settings
- Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI systems for educational applications such as adaptive learning, content generation, or data analysis
- Comprehensive knowledge of learning science fundamentals and data-informed educational methodologies
- Exceptional ability to translate complex educational and technical concepts for diverse stakeholders
- Proven track record managing cross-functional teams and orchestrating complex project initiatives

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
