Physical Health and Wellbeing Consultant — genU

Location: Mount Gravatt, Queensland, Australia

About the Role

Join to apply for the Physical Health and Wellbeing Consultant role at genU. You will conduct comprehensive initial assessments, develop individualised exercise programs, monitor client progress and adjust programs as needed to ensure optimal person-centred outcomes. You will also be working across different sites covering the Western Melbourne employment region.

Responsibilities
  • Work with individuals on a one-to-one basis and in groups to support those experiencing physical health and/or wellbeing concerns.
  • Conduct a range of assessments including functional capacity evaluation, musculoskeletal and fitness, worksite and ergonomic assessments.
  • Prescribe clinical exercise with a focus on work conditioning and strengthening, modelled on client-focused short-term interventions.
  • Deliver psycho-educational, work conditioning, manual handling, chronic pain management and strengthening group-based programs.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or equivalent with a masters/graduate diploma in Exercise Physiology
  • Accredited Exercise Physiologist registered with ESSA (Exercise and Sports Science Australia).
  • Demonstrated ability to apply evidence-based and best practice therapeutic approaches.
  • Possess exceptional organisational abilities to facilitate prioritisation and effective management of key duties.
Prior Commencement
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance
  • Current NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate of completion
  • Current Working with Children\'s Check (employee)
