About the Role

The Food & Beverage Attendant plays a crucial role in delivering top-notch service and a memorable guest experience. You will take orders, serve food and beverages, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere across all venues including bar, restaurant, room service, conferencing and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and Seat Guests: Warmly welcome guests, assist with seating arrangements, and provide menus.
  • Take Orders: Describe menu items, answer questions, and note any special requests or dietary restrictions.
  • Serve Food and Beverages: Deliver food and drinks promptly and ensure presentation meets standards.
  • Check on Guests: Regularly check in to ensure guests have what they need and address concerns.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the area clean and organised, clear tables, reset, and restock as needed.
  • Collaborate with Kitchen Team: Communicate orders and ensure timely, accurate delivery of food.
  • Handle Payments: Present bills and process payments accurately.
  • Upsell and Promote: Suggest additional menu items, specials or beverages.
  • Handle Guest Requests: Address special requests and accommodate guests' needs to the best of your ability.
  • Safety and Hygiene: Follow safety and hygiene protocols and maintain a clean work environment in line with regulations.
  • Flexibility: Availability for evenings, weekends and holidays.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage items, including wine and cocktails (training provided).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
