Overview

St Augustine's College, Cairns, is a Catholic boys' college that has been educating students since 1930 and is part of the Marist network. This Industrial Design and Technologies Workshop Assistant role supports design and technology programs in a school environment. The position is term-time, permanent, and 38 hours per week during school terms. The start date is negotiable.


Position details
  • Location: St Augustine's College, Cairns
  • Employment type: Term-time, Permanent
  • Hours: 38 hours per week during school terms
  • Salary: School Officer Schedule Level 3 ($34.17 to $35.62 Gross per hour)
  • Closing date: 3pm Tuesday 2 September 2025 (unless filled prior)

Responsibilities
  • Assisting teachers in preparing, resourcing, and implementing design and technology programs.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of workshops.
  • Maintaining appropriate behaviours when engaging with students.

Work requirements
  • Hold a Working with Children Blue Card
  • Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education
