Assistant Librarian

Overview

Assistant Librarian – Warnbro Community Library, City of Rockingham. Permanent part-time position (average of 19 hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of the library's operations.
• Assess and develop various collections.
• Collaborate to develop an events program and contribute to marketing and promotion of library services.

Qualifications and experience

• Relevant degree appropriate for eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association.
• High level of written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
• Team leadership and ability to motivate staff.
• Experience in planning and implementing community programs and events.
• Experience in marketing library services to the community.

Remuneration and benefits

• Gross salary of $83,781 per annum (pro-rata).
• 12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%.
