Overview

Assistant Librarian – Warnbro Community Library, City of Rockingham. Permanent part-time position (average of 19 hours per week).

The City of Rockingham is located 40km south of the Perth CBD and is one of the fastest growing local governments in the south metropolitan area. Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management of the library's operations.
  • Assess and develop various collections.
  • Collaborate to develop an events program and contribute to marketing and promotion of library services.
Qualifications and experience
  • Relevant degree appropriate for eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
  • Team leadership and ability to motivate staff.
  • Experience in planning and implementing community programs and events.
  • Experience in marketing library services to the community.
Remuneration and benefits
  • Gross salary of $83,781 per annum (pro-rata).
  • 12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%.

  • Access to training and development including paid study leave and study fees; salary packaging opportunities for motor vehicles.
