Overview

Head of Strategy – Growth & Transformation – Sector: Retail, Consumer, FMCG. Are you a seasoned strategy leader ready to drive enterprise-wide transformation in one of Australia's largest and most complex businesses?

We're representing a major ASX-listed organisation at a pivotal moment in its growth journey. This newly refreshed leadership team is seeking a senior strategy professional to shape the future of the enterprise through a combination of strategic foresight, analytical rigour, and collaborative leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Lead enterprise strategy development, identifying and prioritising long-term growth opportunities, including M&A, market expansion, and innovation.
  • Partner with the executive leadership and Board, developing data-driven recommendations and building consensus on critical initiatives.
  • Drive and oversee a portfolio of complex strategic projects, ensuring robust analysis, compelling business cases, and effective execution.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing team, fostering systems thinking, commercial acumen, and a culture of innovation and accountability.
  • Act as a strategic advisor, bringing fresh perspectives on industry trends, market disruption, and emerging opportunities.
Your background

We are seeking candidates who bring:

  • Significant experience in a top tier strategy consulting firm such as McKinsey, Bain or BCG (min 7+ years) and/or corporate strategy leadership within an ASX50 or global enterprise.
  • Expertise in the consumer, retail, grocery, or adjacent sectors, with a track record of shaping and executing complex strategic agendas.
  • Strength in storytelling and influence, comfortable crafting Board-level reports and engaging senior executives.
  • Proven capability as a people leader, inspiring diverse teams, fostering inclusion, and developing talent.
Compensation

Base pay range: A$300,000.00/yr - A$360,000.00/yr
