Overview

Senior Project Officer - Workforce Initiatives at Department of Education, Western Australia.

Workforce Policy and Coordination are seeking to establish a pool of Senior Project Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2025 and up to the end of October, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

As part of the Workforce Strategic Initiatives team, this role will work on initiatives to address the strategic workforce priorities of the public schooling system. You will use analytical skills, initiative and knowledge of education workforce matters to provide clear and timely advice to management. You will apply project management skills and experience to support workforce initiatives across all stages of the project lifecycle. You will liaise and consult with a range of stakeholders, including school and system leaders, universities and other organisations, and use strong interpersonal and written communication skills to achieve results.

  • Demonstrated highly developed program and project management skills including project methodology, planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation.
