We are a dynamic national business with our head office located in Perth, operating within a collaborative family-owned culture. The Business Development Manager will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager with a strong and verifiable track record of sales success. This role is responsible for identifying, engaging, and contracting new customers in line with our sales strategy to support Connect Source's growth across Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Proactively identify and source new sales leads
  2. Meet with prospects to understand their requirements
  3. Promote Connect Source's solutions effectively, aligning our products and value proposition with client needs
  4. Achieve quarterly activity and sales targets
  5. Maintain up-to-date records of sales opportunities in the CRM
  6. Ensure smooth handover of new business to Operations, including all relevant contacts, asset lists, and contractual details
  7. Participate in marketing campaigns and initiatives to build brand awareness
  8. Conduct competitor benchmarking and monitor market trends to guide strategy
  9. Represent Connect Source at exhibitions, conferences, and events, including delivering presentations and speaking engagements
  10. Collaborate with government and regulatory bodies in Australia and New Zealand, representing Connect Source in industry working groups

About You

  • Three to five years' experience in a Business Development Manager role, preferably with technical product or service sales experience
  • A passion for technology and innovation
  • Demonstrated success in solution-based selling
  • A strong track record of developing strategic partnerships and building a robust sales pipeline with B2B customers
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Experience in project management, pricing, forecasting, customer research, segmentation, product development, and competitor analysis
