Overview

Six Degrees Executive is partnering with a trusted and forward-thinking irrigation business based in Griffith to recruit a Manager - Operational Technology. This is a strategic leadership position focused on maintaining and optimising the organisation's automated infrastructure, including electro-mechanical systems, metering, pump stations, SCADA, and communications networks. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role plays a key part in delivering the company's automation strategy ensuring systems run reliably, efficiently, and continue to evolve with future demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance and performance of all automated and electro-mechanical assets.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of industrial control systems and automation platforms.
  • Drive measurable improvements in uptime, performance, and cost efficiency through modern maintenance and automation practices.
  • Develop and manage strategic automation partnerships to deliver scalable, innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align operational technology initiatives with business objectives.
  • Provide leadership and direction to technical teams across infrastructure, maintenance, and automation.

  • Successful delivery of automation milestones aligned with the company\'s roadmap.

About You
  • Proven experience leading technical or cross-functional teams, ideally through periods of change or technology transformation.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems, infrastructure governance, and supplier/vendor management.
  • Effective communicator with experience engaging stakeholders across operations, engineering, and executive levels.
  • Commercially astute with the ability to identify strategic opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
