Lead transformative change at the intersection of media, data, and customer experience. This executive role shapes the strategic direction of CommBank's owned media ecosystem, driving world-class customer experiences and enterprise-wide impact. As a senior leader, you will architect and operationalise the Group's owned media vision—integrating strategic partnerships, technology roadmap, data infrastructure, and customer experience to elevate and deliver CommBank Connect as a market-leading retail media platform.

You will have responsibility for scaling our retail media division CommBank Connect to better leverage and improve the value of our owned assets. Critical to this role is stakeholder management and the ability to work closely and collaboratively with senior leaders across the Group and agency partners.

Your key responsibilities:

• Set and govern the strategic direction for CommBank's owned media portfolio, aligning with enterprise objectives and market dynamics

• Champion technology and data strategy integration to enable scalable, compliant, and media delivery across all channels.

• Lead commercialisation strategy for owned media assets, driving sustainable revenue growth through strategic partnerships and technology roadmap.

• Establish tracking and measurement framework to assess value and attribution across marketing channels and capabilities.

• Oversee cross-functional program governance, ensuring alignment with Group risk, compliance, and financial frameworks.

• Unlock enhanced customer experiences through content, digital media and partnership experiences.

• Evaluate effectiveness of current owned marketing initiatives and lead the design of product, technology and service development in retail media to build market share and adoption with target markets.

• Oversee media sales and partnerships team and translate pipeline of opportunities to unlock performance at scale.

• Function as a member of the senior management team for strategic planning, implementation and leadership of owned media

• Responsible for capability uplift in retail media across Marketing

• Responsible to lead and inspire a team of owned media specialists through a clear articulation of vision and their contribution to Group objectives

• Responsible for the compliance, legal, risk management frameworks to successfully operationalise CommBank Connect within a banking ecosystem

• Responsible for effective financial management for owned media, ensuring spend to agreed guardrails and meeting revenue targets to unlock funding stage gates

We'd love to hear from people who have:

• A strategic senior marketing or media professional with proven leadership, influencing and facilitation capabilities

• Excellent analytical, planning and prioritisation capability

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Sound understanding of marketing channels and media mix, including paid, owned and retail media

• Strong commercial acumen with Marketing/Media or Digital experience

• Understanding of the media landscapes, specifically paid media, owned channels and partnerships experience

• Evidence of strong project management skills including time management and demonstrate ability to influence and negotiate with senior colleagues to achieve the positive outcomes

• Ability to use strategic planning and thinking to build and deliver advertising and marketing plans aligned to key target metrics

• Proven leadership experience with ability to inspire, motivate and define the future vision for the portfolio

• Entrepreneurial mindset with proven ability to drive innovation and growth at scale
