Job Summary:

Are you an Effects Artist passionate about defining high-quality looks for animated features? Do you enjoy solving technical and creative problems within Houdini? We are seeking enthusiastic Effects Artists to create high-quality visual effects for our upcoming animated feature films.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and create visually interesting, high-quality effects.
  • Collaborate closely with team members and departments, working with your FX supervisor to produce effects and shots.
  • Utilize Houdini and the Netflix Animation Studio pipeline to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Apply your problem-solving skills to fix issues and address creative challenges.
  • Collaborate with grace, humility, inclusion, and open-mindedness.

What You'll Need:

  • Proven experience as an Effects Artist in animation or visual effects.
  • Proficiency in Houdini.
  • Strong understanding of particle systems, dynamics, and simulations.
  • Excellent artistic skills with keen attention to detail and aesthetics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • A portfolio showcasing FX work in animation or related fields.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and digital communication skills.

This role is based in Sydney, Australia. Hybrid role (minimum of 3 days a week in the office).
