The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to join our national Finance team. The role is fast paced and will suit someone with demonstrated experience processing a high volume of data with strong accuracy.

  • Process trust account transactions, including receipts, payments, and PEXA settlements.
  • Perform trust account reconciliations.
  • Process and reconcile controlled money in the practice management system.
  • Manage trust account records in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Prepare periodic reports on the trust account, file lodgements, and liaise with auditors.
  • Train staff on trust processes and accounting programs, and communicate with firm stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience preferably within a law firm environment.
  • Excellent accuracy when processing high volumes of data.
  • Strong time management, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
  • Experience with our practice management system (Aderant) is advantageous, as well as intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.
