Nurse Unit Coordinator - Aged Care - Coppin Centre Melbourne, VIC

The Nurse Unit Coordinator delivers safe, high quality and contemporary clinical care, provides supervision and guidance to care staff, and supports a resident-centric approach and high level of care at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Providing high-quality medical care, including assessing residents' health conditions, monitoring vital signs, and managing medications and treatments.
- Undertake, or supervise others to undertake, clinical care for individual residents as required, including complex wound care, pain management, behaviour management, end-of-life care and other clinical procedures as may be necessary.
- Liaise with Residential care staff, medical, allied health, hospital and other specialist health practitioners to ensure residents receive high level clinical care.

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) through AHPRA
- Recent experience in caring for high care and dementia residents
- Knowledge of wound care, palliative care, behaviour management, clinical assessments, care plans
It is mandatory to have a valid Police Clearance or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or both) to undertake the inherent requirements of this role. All aged care workers are encouraged to be vaccinated against Covid-19 (3 vaccines) and to receive the Flu vaccine. Proof of Covid-19 vaccination is required prior to commencement.
