Overview

Packaging Operator at Asahi Beverages (Abbotsford site). You will operate packaging equipment, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and perform general packaging duties. You will follow designated processes, maintain a high attention to detail, and problem-solve regularly. Our team is dedicated and enthusiastic about their work and joining us will allow you to develop your skills with the guidance of a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and manage packaging or brewing machinery.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and ensure product standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of machine operations and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with team members and support fellow operators.
  • Identify and suggest improvements for operational efficiency and safety.
About You / Qualifications
  • The ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as think laterally and offer creative solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt to change.
  • The ability to work unsupervised as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and desire to learn, with the ability to identify and support opportunities to continuously improve the safety, quality and efficiency of all operations within a packaging environment.
  • Demonstrate workplace behaviors of the highest standards of respect, teamwork, integrity and consistency, including a reliable and disciplined approach to work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely and have the physical capacity to perform the manual tasks associated with the position.
Additional Information

This is a Fixed Term Contract role on a rotating shift roster covering days, afternoons and nights. You must be available to start on the 1st of October and have full availability until the contract end period after Easter next year. The ability to work overtime is highly regarded.
