About the role

This is a critical role that will manage a large payroll project to completion. You will be responsible for reconciling and improving the operational management of employee payment data and compliance for Customer Experience staff. Reporting to both the Chief People Officer and the General Manager, Customer Experience, you will act as a go-between for the People Operations and Customer Experience teams, ensuring management practices align with the company's overall goals.

Responsibilities
  • Leading compliance projects by interpreting business rules and Enterprise Agreement (EA) components to identify discrepancies in employee paid data.
  • Identifying process improvements within the Customer Experience team that may require system investment and working on business cases.
  • Developing materials related to updating procedures, processes, and policies based on project outcomes.
  • Tracking down former employees who may be part of the review through phone, email, and manual postage.
  • Collaborating closely with the payroll team and PC&S Systems team when payments are required to current and former employees.
  • Conducting reconciliation activities of business data, payroll data, and audit validation data.
About you
  • 5+ years of hands-on project management, and/or payroll accounting and reconciliation experience.
  • A strong understanding of project methodology and prior involvement in a structured compliance or audit project.
  • Experience with systems thinking and process improvement.
  • Exposure to using HRIS systems and rosters in maintaining employee data.
  • Stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
