We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Chef to join our innovative team at St Vincent's Care Services, Hawthorn on a part-time basis.

In this role, you will bring your strong cooking skills and passion for your profession to create a fine dining experience for our residents that is second to none. Delivering multi-course, elegant dishes and planning a variety of menus, this is your opportunity to show your creative flair while working alongside a highly experienced team in a dynamic setting that is redefining aged care standards.

St Vincent's Care Services Hawthorn (also known as Mary Mackillop Aged Care) is a 91-bed facility located in Hawthorn East, just 7 km from Melbourne's city center, with Camberwell Junction nearby.

This is a permanent part-time position working on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

What we value:

• Proven experience with volume cooking in environments such as hotels, healthcare, or similar
• Excellent knowledge of all facets of Food Services, including chill production and dining service planning
• Ability to lead daily production with kitchenhands and ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Understanding of and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
• High-level customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to follow care plan directives
• Understanding of aged care and resident rights and responsibilities
• National Police Certificate
• NDIS Worker Screening Check may be required
