About the role

As a Purchasing Officer at Pet PA, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of a wide range of products and services to support the smooth operation of our pet supplies business. This full-time role is based in our Burleigh Heads office, with opportunities for flexible and hybrid work arrangements.

What you'll be doing
  • Liaising with suppliers to negotiate the best prices, delivery terms and quality of products
  • Placing purchase orders and tracking deliveries to ensure stock is available when needed
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and identifying opportunities to optimise stock levels
  • Researching new suppliers and products to expand our range and find cost savings
  • Generating purchase reports and analysing data to support strategic procurement decisions
  • Collaborating with the Marketing, logistics and finance teams to align purchasing activities with business needs
What we're looking for
  • 2-3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, ideally within the retail or logistics industry
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills to build effective relationships with suppliers
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities to juggle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse purchasing trends and identify cost savings
  • Familiarity with inventory management principles and ERP/procurement software
  • Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field
