The ASC has an ambitious Strategic Vision and is seeking strong contributors to help deliver results for the sporting sector and all Australians.

About The Team

The Portfolio and Financial Services section sits within the Technology Group. The Team oversees the Technology Group's program management process and delivers complex technology projects across the organisation and sport. It manages the financial elements and components of the Group's ITSM lifecycle, including technology project budgets and project governance functions.

About The Role

Digital technologies transform all aspects of sport—from participation to high performance and administration. Within the Portfolio and Financial Services team, you will apply Agile methodology to produce high‑quality outcomes that connect the Australian sport industry with participants and the Australian public.

As a Project Manager/Scrum Master, you will bring together all aspects of the delivery team and ensure Agile methodology is implemented effectively. You will help product owners define value, assist the development team to deliver value, and guide the Scrum team to operate and collaborate to deliver on concurrent technology projects.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Managing the scope and timeline of each project.
  • Coordinating sprints, retrospective meetings and stand-ups.
  • Facilitating internal communication and effective collaboration to influence and drive decision making which supports project outcomes.
  • Working with product owners and ASC teams during delivery to ensure desired outcomes are met.
  • Helping teams implement changes effectively, resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur.
  • Ensuring deliverables meet quality and security standards at the end of each sprint.
  • Guiding development teams to higher Agile maturity and embedding Agile methodology across the team and broader Group.
  • Collaborating to develop a design system for ASC and sport focused on usability, reusability, accessibility and best practice.
  • Contributing to long-term planning aligned with ASC strategy and reliable, secure, efficient and sustainable technology platforms.
About You

We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent attention to detail and experience as a Project Manager and/or Scrum Master. You will have strong planning and problem‑solving skills, clear communication, and the ability to work with Senior Executives to deliver priority projects across the ASC.

The Successful Candidate Must Have
  • A proven track record of agile project delivery, preferably using hybrid methodologies and multi-disciplinary scrum teams in Australian Government organisations.
  • Proven ability to deliver concurrent deliverables to tight deadlines, using initiative and adaptability.
  • Clear, concise oral and written communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate progress and challenges to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable skills in ICT scope definition and management, stakeholder engagement, delivery planning, and build monitoring and control.

Qualifications including a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in product or project management, computer science, business or a similar field are desirable.
