Join our dedicated team at Community Recovery and manage relationships with a dedicated portfolio of contract owners (i.e. funded organisations), whilst monitoring contract performance and ensuring contract compliance. The ideal candidate brings strong organisational skills, contract management experience (preferably human and social service contracts) and a financial acumen with the ability to analyse financial information. You will work directly with stakeholders to influence and drive outcomes and help communities on their journey to recovery. Your expertise will make a meaningful difference in building resilience in Queensland communities affected by disasters.
Community Recovery is the lead agency for the provision of human and social recovery support to Queenslanders impacted by disasters including the provision of personal financial support and emotional support and recovery activities.
The Long-Term Recovery and Resilience team (LTRR) is responsible for the management of long-term recovery and resilience programs to support communities affected by disaster events.

In this role, you will be responsible for the administration and end to end management of human and social service contracts in line with established guidelines, policies, procedures and frameworks. You will support contract owners (i.e. funded organisations) to ensure eligibility of expenditure as per funding guidelines and ensure contract compliance and adequate reporting. You will develop and maintain robust records and trackers in relation to contract delivery outcomes, responding to external audit queries where required. You will build strong partnerships with funded organisations and support them with their contract administration and accountability.
The ideal candidate will have previous contract management experience (preferably human and social service contracts in the public sector), financial acumen and demonstrated communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills. Succeeding in this role will require a high level of stakeholder engagement skills to manage ongoing relationships with funded organisations. You will have strong critical analysis and problem solving skills with the ability to escalate contract non-compliance and inadequate reporting.
