Verdino & Co Pty Ltd is a public practice firm based in Essendon North specialising in taxation and business advisory for SME's, SMSF's and individuals. Our aim is minimise tax and create long term wealth for our clients through creative tax planning and business growth strategies.
About the roleWe are currently seeking a motivated Graduate Accountant to assist senior staff with bookkeeping, taxation and administrative tasks. The successful applicant should be comfortable fielding phone calls and have excellent verbal skills. Opportunities for promotion and CA/CPA support are available.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe role will cover all areas of public practice accounting including:
- Bookkeeping using cloud based and desktop software
- Data entry
- Preparation of Quarterly or Monthly Business Activity Statements
- Assisting senior staff with preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, Trusts and SMSFs
- Assisting senior staff with preparation of individual income tax returns
- Liasing with the ATO, SRO, ASIC and other authorities as required
- Administrative duties including screening calls and taking appointments
- General administrative tasks
The successful applicant must:
- Hold an undergraduate Degree in accounting
- Be working towards becoming CPA/CA qualified
- Have excellent verbal and written skills
- Own a car with a valid driver's license (travel to client premises may be required)
- Be able to work independently and think outside the box.
- Be ambitious and driven to grow with our firm
