We are seeking a Graduate Accountant who will contribute to the effective delivery of these services while working closely with our dedicated operational team.
This role provides the opportunity to be part of a professional and collaborative environment, where a recent accounting graduate can grow their expertise while supporting the School's commitment to excellence.
Role & Responsibilities: This role will appeal to candidates who are recently or soon to be graduated, or are up to 2 years into their professional practice and seeking their first move into the industry.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, supporting the finance team and wider school, the Graduate Accountant will play an integral role in the School's financial decisions, direction and success.
Responsibilities may include: Conducting basic accounting tasks such as daily banking, processing invoices, tracking expenses, and reconciling accounts.
Maintain accurate financial records in line with the school policies and compliance.
Serving as a point of contact for employees, parents and suppliers regarding Finance related enquiries and requests.
Work with the members of the Business Office team to gain an understanding of the various business administrative functions (Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable) sufficient to perform these functions in their absence and to gain an inherent understanding of the School's business operations.
Managing projects as assigned, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
This is a full-time permanent position and is available for an immediate start, however for the right candidate an alternative start start can be negotiated.
About You: To be considered for this position, you are a recent accounting graduate with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound knowledge of accounting principles.
Organised and adaptable, you bring effective communication skills and a commitment to developing your professional expertise.
Hold a Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Commerce or similar.
Is interested in pursuing a CA or CPA qualification (or currently undertaking the completion thereof).
Demonstrate the technical skills and academic experience necessary within the accounting discipline.
Possess an ability and willingness to take on projects and follow through to completion.
Demonstrate an ability to problem solve, exercise initiative, research, investigate and make decisions.
Possess a forward thinking, growth mindset with the ability to work accurately, effectively and efficiently win an acute attention to detail (is a must).
Ability to establish effective working relationships within a diverse and high performing team.
