As a Project & Policy Officer, you will join a small, dynamic team with a can-do attitude. The organisation is the peak body for not-for-profit community organisations across southern NSW and leads social and policy change for the community sector and for disadvantaged and marginalised people, families and communities.
About UsCommunity Industry Group is the peak body working for community services and organisations in Southern NSW. We support community organisations, promote expertise and innovation, foster industry development and pursue social justice in the region. For over 30 years we have provided a voice, influence and leadership for our not-for-profit members to ensure they feel heard, supported and informed in order to continue caring for the most vulnerable people in our society.
About YouYou will possess strong written and verbal communication skills and have experience working and building relationships with stakeholders across the community services sector. You will be committed to social justice and passionate about the not-for-profit sector. People with experience in the aged care sector are strongly encouraged to apply.

- Possess relevant qualifications in human services, social services, public policy or a related discipline OR a minimum of three years' experience working in a relevant policy environment.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong networks and partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated high-level written and oral communication skills, and experience in producing high-quality written materials including reports, briefing papers and correspondence.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality, timely, evidence-based policy advice.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development of research reports including the design, data collection and analysis of data.
- Must be willing to obtain a current Police Check.
- Current driver's licence and comprehensively insured vehicle.
Understanding of the Aged Care sector and experience using the DEX system is advantageous.
