About the Role

This isn't a junior copywriting gig. We're looking for a mid-level SEO content specialist with 2–3+ years of agency experience who understands how to write for both humans and search engines. You'll be producing high-quality, search-optimised content that supports SEO strategies across a wide range of industries.

You'll work closely with our SEO and strategy teams to create content that builds topical authority, drives rankings, and evolves with the ever-changing search landscape - including AI search, LLMs, and zero-click results.

What You'll Do

• Write well-structured, search-optimised content for blogs, landing pages, and websites
• Balance creativity with keyword strategy, search intent, and content architecture
• Collaborate on content strategies and develop content calendars tied to SEO goals and client objectives
• Use tools like ChatGPT to streamline content ideation and drafting
• Maintain high standards of grammar, tone, clarity, and editorial polish
• Use your content experience to help shape our evolving model and make your mark on the future of Shark Digital

What You Must Bring

• 2–3+ years SEO content writing experience in an agency setting
• Formal SEO training or proven technical understanding of SEO principles
• Solid grasp of how to match search intent with useful, optimised content
• Ability to use AI tools to enhance productivity and deliver content according to the requirements of the SEO brief across a diverse range of clients
• Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple projects
• Curiosity about how SEO is evolving (think AEO, SXO, AI search, etc.)

Bonus Points For

• Experience with SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog or GSC
• Knowledge of technical SEO fundamentals (crawlability, site structure)
• Experience creating content clusters, pillar pages, or topical maps
• Exposure to tools like Surfer SEO, Clearscope, or similar
• Experience managing freelance writers or briefing external content
• Interest in how LLMs and AI are reshaping digital discovery

Note: Only applicants with SEO/digital agency copywriting experience and the ability to work on-site in Sydney will be considered.
