Overview

Cater Care is hiring for a NEW Contract Site role based in Canberra, ACT. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a salary between $70,000.00 and $85,000.00 and a drive-in drive-out/bus-in bus-out arrangement from Canberra or Wagga Wagga. The role involves Utility work across Mine Site Cleaning, Housekeeping, and Kitchen Utility services, with a focus on teamwork, safety, and high-quality service.

Responsibilities
  • Setting up, maintaining, and clearing dining areas
  • Operating dishwashing equipment and ensuring cleanliness of kitchen facilities, utensils, and dining spaces
  • Adhering to legislated food safety and hygiene standards
  • Providing efficient and friendly service during high-demand periods
  • Supporting team members across departments as needed
  • Preparing and serving texture-modified meals in accordance with dietary requirements
  • Dining Room Duties: maintaining cleanliness, replenishing stock, and ensuring crib food levels are sufficient
  • Housekeeping: cleaning guest rooms and ensuites, making beds as required
  • General Cleaning: managing waste, sweeping, mopping, and other cleaning duties in communal areas
  • Mine Site Cleaning: maintaining cleanliness in site offices, crib huts, and bathhouses
  • Bar Attendant / Utility duties as part of a multi-role capacity
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Experience working as a Utility/Utility All-Rounder/Cleaner/Housekeeper/Kitchen Hand (12 months+)
  • Commitment to genuine, friendly customer service
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, and positive "can-do" attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Pride in personal appearance and hygiene
  • RSA
  • Driver's License (Auto or Manual)
  • Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident
