Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) is seeking a proactive and adaptable Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance Division.You'll work in a small, supportive team that manages invoice processing, statement reconciliation, and payment runs. The environment is currently manual and process-heavy, but there is strong commitment to continuous improvement. This role will suit someone who values accuracy, is adaptable, and brings a proactive mindset. You'll contribute to day-to-day financial operations while supporting system and process improvement across the team. You'll also assist the VMO Accounts Division and work closely with the Accounts Payable Manager, engaging respectfully with internal stakeholders and supporting audit-ready financial processes.

This is more than a transactional role. You'll be part of a collaborative, high-performing team where your contribution is valued and your work supports safe, efficient health service delivery.

What you will do

Process supplier invoices in Oracle R12

Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies

Coordinate payment runs and support month-end activities

Maintain accurate records using SharePoint

Liaise with internal teams to ensure accurate financial transactions

Assist the VMO Accounts Division with validation and process enhancements

Support the AP Manager and contribute to a respectful, high-performing team

AWH serves as the largest regional healthcare provider between Sydney and Melbourne, situated in the border cities of Albury and Wodonga. With a dedicated team of over 3,000 professionals, we proudly service a population of up to 300,000 across North-East Victoria and Southern NSW. Our extensive network encompasses two primary hospital campuses and an additional 22 sites, delivering a diverse range of emergency, surgical, women's and children's, community, mental health, allied health, and sub-acute services. Our growth continues with the opening of a state-of-the-art Emergency Department in 2024, and excitingly, the construction of a new hospital at our Albury site by 2028.
