Join to apply for the IOL Manager – Surgical Sales role at Alcon in Adelaide, South Australia.

Responsibilities
  • Drive total IOL revenue and market share in the territory
  • Accelerate PCIOL penetration
  • Facilitate the Accelerator program in selected accounts
  • Manage tender requirements working with internal teams
  • Work with Customer Operations on consignment, leveraging MyAlcon360
  • Develop new business with customers to achieve sales targets
  • Maintain and optimize existing relationships and manage business with existing key customers
  • Provide feedback on competitor activities in the field via line management
  • Maintain and uphold an excellent company image
Competencies
  • Deep knowledge of all IOLs and the ability to detail the full portfolio of IOL products
  • Ability to competitively position Clareon vs modified/advanced monofocals
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences
  • Customer oriented mindset and strong customer relationship management
  • Flexibility, motivation, resilience, and a goal-oriented mindset
  • Strong logical and analytical skills to solve problems; ability to work independently and be proactive
  • Good business decision making based on data, fairness, and consistency
  • Experience with CRM applications (such as Salesforce) to manage relationships and plan calls
Education
  • Tertiary qualifications in optometry, orthoptics, science or business
Work Experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in customer-facing roles within a surgical environment or related industries
  • Strong understanding of ophthalmic procedures, product technology, and selling to the medical profession
  • Track record developing and executing business plans, goal setting, and team building
  • Strong desire and ability to learn technical knowledge
  • Understanding of the MTAA code of practice
