Overview

We are partnered with a homegrown Australian company who are proudly building modern, enterprise-grade applications for their customers. As part of their technology transformation they are looking to add an experienced Java Developer (ideally with experience in Python) to join the team and contribute to a diverse range of upcoming projects.

Responsibilities
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance enterprise applications using Java, SpringBoot
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Participating in architectural discussions, code reviews, and performance tuning
  • Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices
  • Integrating AI-driven solutions into existing applications
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues across environments
  • Ensuring application security, scalability, and reliability
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of development processes and practices
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in backend Java development using Spring, SpringBoot (we are open to an ambitious mid-level for this role)
  • Some hands on experience with Python (no need to be an expert, but some commercial experience is essential)
  • Good knowledge of relational databases
  • Familiarity with modern development tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
