As a Senior Developer at David Jones, you will be integral to the development and optimisation of solutions that streamline and elevate our operational processes. This role demands a wealth of experience in database technologies and a robust understanding of business processes. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and refining database solutions tailored to our organisation's specific needs, ensuring they are resilient, scalable, and highly efficient.

• Design and implement database solutions, including creating data models, schemas, and database objects.
• Participate in the SDLC phases including requirements gathering, development, testing, and deployment of PL/SQL code, stored procedures, triggers, and packages.
• Optimize database performance through SQL script tuning, indexing, and data structure improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate databases with various systems and applications.
• Ensure data integrity and smooth information flow between systems.
• Identify and resolve complex database issues, performance bottlenecks, and data inconsistencies.
• Maintain detailed documentation for database designs, processes, and procedures.

• 8-10 years of experience as a Developer with a strong track record of successful database projects.
• Experience with Oracle Retail.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL, SQL, and database design principles.
• Expertise in Oracle Database and DB2 technologies.
• Experience with Oracle APEX.
• Familiarity with DevOps for Database Deployment (CI/CD for automated deployment of database scripts).
• Knowledge of Order Management Systems.
• Familiarity with Workato, Kafka, and Automic is a plus.
