The Opportunity

Our dynamic Product Innovation & Technology team is looking for an Innovation Services Officer to join us in Port Kembla. The Australian Steel Products portfolio includes six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla, delivering a variety of products, innovative solutions, and services to our export and domestic customers.

This role is diverse and hands-on, playing a vital part in ensuring our product innovation and technology functions operate smoothly while driving forward our innovation plans.

What Will You Do?
  • Manage purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers, including international vendors.
  • Support all aspects of office administration, including meeting coordination, travel bookings, catering, and processing credit card expenses.
  • Take accurate minutes during meetings and ensure timely distribution.
  • Assist with staff training on internal business systems and processes.
  • Support the administration of our Knowledge Management function.
  • Work with our ERP system (SAP) to support ordering, reporting, and workflow management.
  • Be the go-to person for keeping the Innovation Labs office running smoothly and efficiently.
More About You

You bring a proactive approach to support, a strong attention to detail, and thrive in roles that connect people, systems, and processes across a collaborative team environment. Additionally, you will have:

  • Previous experience working within heavy industrial or laboratory environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Confidence in dealing with a variety of stakeholders, including international vendors.
  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems is highly regarded.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
