About the role

As the Maintenance Supervisor at Recycling Plastics Australia, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our manufacturing equipment. This full-time position is based in Kilburn, SA, and you will be responsible for overseeing the breakdown maintenance and repair activities of our production facility.

What you'll be doing

  1. Providing technical leadership and guidance to the maintenance team on the diagnosis and repair of equipment breakdowns
  2. Coordinating the timely resolution of equipment issues to minimise downtime and maximise production output
  3. Analysing maintenance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  4. Collaborating with the production teams to optimise equipment performance
  5. Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with relevant safety and environmental regulations
  6. Managing the maintenance budget and resources to achieve operational and financial targets
  7. Mentoring and developing the skills of the maintenance team

What we're looking for

  1. Extensive experience (5+ years) in a maintenance supervisor or similar role within a manufacturing or industrial setting
  2. Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues
  3. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams
  5. Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a maintenance team
  6. Proficiency in maintenance planning, scheduling, and budgeting
  7. Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Fitting
