Behaviour Support Practitioner – Noosa region

Location: Community-based role | Company: Ability Action Australia

Ability Action Australia is growing — and we're looking for our next Behaviour Support Practitioner (BSP) to join our team.

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will:

  • Assist NDIS participants and their support networks through assessments and person-centred planning
  • Develop and implement evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support plans
  • Champion participants' goals, strengths and passions
  • Advocate for the elimination of restrictive practices
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
  • Build capacity in families, carers and community supports

Qualifications

What You'll need

  • Extensive experience working within the NDIS framework and supporting individuals with disabilities and challenging behaviours
  • Behaviour Support Practitioners qualifications or professionals with extensive experience in the disability sector
  • Degree or Diploma qualifications essential
  • Passion for supporting individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours
  • Commitment to person-centred practice and reducing restrictive interventions
  • Strong report writing skills and the ability to translate assessment findings into clear, actionable plans
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to balance a dynamic caseload
