Big Chief Hire specialise in the Hire of civil construction and machinery equipment across four states in Australia including, SA, VIC, QLD and NSW.

Our Head Office site is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Technician to join their dynamic team. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, servicing and repairing a wide range of heavy vehicles, machinery and equipment.

Your Day To Day Tasks Will Include

Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical problemsRepairing and servicing a diverse range of vehicles and equipmentPlanning of jobs and identifying the required parts and components to complete the job efficientlyCompleting the required paperwork including strong story writing in relation to the work performed, in particular for warranty workMaintaining a commitment to safety in the workplace

About You

Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or related qualificationHeavy or light industry exposure and experience will be highly regarded but not essentialA safety and compliance driven approach to your day-to-day workDriver's licence (HR Licence advantageous)
