About Our Mining Group

Our global team of over 5,200 dedicated mining professionals are supporting the industry to decarbonise mining operations in the accelerating green transition. What you'll do

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer in our Sustaining Capital team, you'll bring technical leadership and underground mining expertise to projects. Key responsibilities:

  • Prepares and supervises the preparation of mechanical engineering designs, drawings, specifications, schedules, quantity and cost estimates.
  • Assess performance of mechanical assets against safety, cost, environmental impact and reliability in line with company standards.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams (electrical, process, civil, geotechnical) to deliver integrated project outcomes.
  • Prepare high level technical reports and review medium size project reports.
  • Contribute to building the technical capability of others and transferring technical expertise within the organisation.
About You
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Discipline.
  • Experience in monitoring and managing the scope of multiple projects of varying complexity and size.
  • Balances innovation, quality and technical excellence with delivery to timelines and budget.
  • Proven background in material handling systems, mine dewatering, ventilation, or fixed plant within large-scale projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes in a client-facing role.
