Overview

Two continuing, full-time Lecturer positions (Lecturer in Mathematics and Lecturer in Statistics) at the School of Mathematics and Applied Statistics (SMAS), University of Wollongong. Level B: $119,491 - $137,996 plus 17% superannuation.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to high-quality research, innovative teaching, and service/governance within the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences.
  • Teach: prepare and deliver lectures and seminars; conduct tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions or studio sessions; develop subject or teaching materials with guidance from the subject or course coordinator.
  • Engage in research in an area of mathematics or statistics; publish in quality journals and pursue competitive research grants.
About You / Qualifications
  • A PhD in Mathematical Sciences or Statistical Sciences
  • A growing research track record and demonstrated research potential
  • Proven teaching experience in mathematics or related disciplines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Willingness to contribute to academic governance and professional engagement
