About the role

We are currently seeking a Transfusion Scientist to deliver service excellence on behalf of our organisation and collaborating with our partners to promote and share access to scientific and clinical education and expertise. This will further enable development of Lifeblood's capacity and capability planning for both services and products for Health Partners.

Reporting to Customer Service Delivery Manager the primary focus of the role is to coordinate with hospital blood bank and pathology service partners located within the geographical region. As a collaborator you will gather, represent and articulate in-depth customer insights to the broader Lifeblood organisation, ensuring delivery of trusted partner experience.

• Tertiary qualifications in Bachelor of Science/Medical Science/Biomedical Science or related analytical discipline (member of ANZSBT)
• Knowledge & expertise in Transfusion science
• Exceptional communication skills with ability to build rapport and collaborate
• Expertise in analysing problems and developing practical solutions to take precise decisions while working accurately and with attention to the detail
• Experience working in highly regulated environment with commitment to safety and quality.
• Comfortable travelling to Metro & Regional NSW
• Demonstrated knowledge of sector influences including ANZSBT and PBM Guidelines, NSQHS Standard 7 and NATA accreditation, TGA compliance to cGMP and the NBA National Service Requirements and Standards.
• A natural collaborator with exceptional presentation skills who can develop effective interpersonal relationships and consult with a range of external and internal stakeholders
• Technical & Digital Aptitude

This is a permanent full-time opportunity however we are open for part-time applicants including job share for the right candidates. The role will require blend of onsite work from Sydney Processing Centre with some capacity to WFH and travel to Metro and Regional NSW as formal partner visit schedule.
