About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and enthusiastic Workshop Controller to join our Lonsdale team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance throughout our workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the workshop
- Monitor the progression of jobs throughout the day to ensure timely completion
- Schedule workshop jobs based on customer requirements and workshop capacity
- Conduct quality control and perform final inspections of vehicles prior to collection
- Explain technical issues to non-technical customers and stakeholders
- Provide guidance to both apprentices and technicians
About You
This role is a great opportunity for a qualified and experienced technician looking to move off the tools, learn new skills, and support the workshop team.
- Previous experience in a similar role (desirable)
- A sound understanding of workflow in a busy workshop
- Strong understanding of Heavy Diesel Mechanics
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A proactive mindset with a desire to improve processes and outcomes
