Become an Investigator, Senior Investigator or Assistant Director within the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) of the Department of Health and Aged Care to detect, disrupt and deter unlawful importation, manufacture, supply, export, commercial possession or advertising of vapes and similar products. Vapes, or e-cigarettes, jeopardise Australia's already hard-fought successes on tobacco control, particularly among young Australians. Illicit vapes and advertising adversely impact on individuals, the Australian health system and the Australian community as a whole.

For detailed information about this role, including the job specific duties and capabilities, please refer to the downloadable applicant kit via the Department of Health and Aged Care website.

  • A strong communicator in writing and orally.
  • Adept and thrive juggling multiple tasks or projects.
  • Self-aware and reflective to develop yourself and build productive relationships.
  • Resilient and adaptable in the face of adversity and uncertainty.
  • An individual with a high level of integrity and professionalism.

  • Work with a diverse team from regulatory, legal, scientific and law enforcement backgrounds who are passionate about the delivery of quality outcomes.
  • Collaborate with officers from partner authorities across multiple levels of government, extending to operational field work.
  • Develop your capabilities as a public servant, beyond government investigations.
