The Australian Government has announced the stabilisation of existing business registers and their transfer from the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) back to ASIC under the Registry Connect (RC) Program. This program aims to deliver reliable, secure, trusted, and efficient registry services to support the economy for the benefit of all Australians.

• Location: Sydney or Melbourne
• 36-Mmonth Fixed Term Role
• From $147,104 to $158,578 (depending on experience) + 15.4% superannuation

The Team

The Digital, Data, and Technology Portfolio Office delivers project and support services to ASIC. We are executing technology projects to transform our business, focusing on visualization, mobility, and cloud, with an emphasis on data sharing and analytics to support ASIC's role as a regulator.

The Role

As a Senior Technical Business Analyst, you will employ diverse business analysis techniques, including agile methodologies, to deliver high-quality project outcomes within established timelines. Your key responsibilities will include eliciting, analysing, and managing both high-level and detailed business requirements, conducting enterprise analysis, assessing and validating solutions, and addressing both functional and non-functional requirements.

More Specifically, You Will

• Collaborate with SMEs and IT teams to analyse business requirements and identify needs.
• Document business, functional, and non-functional requirements for diverse stakeholders.
• Create user interface designs following User-Centred Design (UCD) principles and government accessibility guidelines.
• Develop process maps for as-is and to-be processes.
• Understand business structure and strategy and its impact on team efforts.
• Assist in testing preparation and execution.
• Support UAT preparation, system implementation, user manuals, and training.
• Manage performance to align with ASIC's strategic priorities and team business plan.

About You

The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, analytical skills, and effective communication abilities, with a strong background in business analysis techniques, including Agile methodologies and SAFe, and a track record of delivering projects within established timelines.

In Addition, You Will Have

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or professional certifications; Agile and SAFe certification is highly desirable.
• Excellent knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Strong skills in eliciting, documenting, and managing requirements.
• Experience with industry process modelling and requirements management tools.
• Experience in large, complex enterprise environments with technology-based projects.
• Analytical and enterprise-level problem-solving skills in IT systems.
• Ability to independently manage multiple tasks or projects with accountability for outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication with a focus on customer service.
• Experience integrating different business applications and improving workflow efficiency.
• Knowledge of systems such as SAS, Microsoft Dynamics, Java, Siebel/Oracle Fusion, PeopleSoft, Data Warehouse.
