An exciting opportunity exists for motivated Registered Nurse to join the dynamic Diabetes Education multi-disciplinary team at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital.

Where You'll Be Working
The Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2, is responsible for leadership in quality and best practice in Diabetes Education. This will be achieved through the provision of advice, education, risk prevention and practice improvement methodologies in collaboration with the Diabetes team. The position of Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 is part of a small team which exercises professional knowledge and judgement and works cooperatively in providing leadership and guidance in Diabetes management and education.
What You'll Be Doing
The Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 will provide safe, compassionate, quality, person centred specialist care and work in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Nurse Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification or such other qualifications or relevant equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to mentor and coach nursing staff to enhance professional development.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and initiating activities to improve clinical service delivery and patient clinical outcomes.
- Demonstrated skills in computer use and applications such as Windows, word processing and database.
- Demonstrated ability to work individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
