We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Financial Accountant to join our Perth-based Finance team during the next phase of business optimisation and efficiencies.
THE ROLE
The General Finance team plays a critical role in ensuring the financial sustainability of Compass Group Australia. This team is responsible for providing technical accounting expertise to manage and enhance the financial control framework, the annual audit and report, cash flow, and balance sheet management across the Australian Group.
Working with the Senior and Financial Accountant, you will provide high-quality financial processing and reporting to enable accurate and informed decision-making for the company's performance.
Main responsibilities:
- Prepare and assist with month-end processes such as journals and reconciliations
- Assist in improving financial reconciliations and processes
- Assist with the external audit process
- Assist with preparing the statutory accounts
- Assist with preparing BAS and FBT returns
- Support the finance team with ad hoc accounting duties
- Business partnering and liaison with internal and external stakeholders
ABOUT YOU
- Working towards CA/CPA qualification
- Commerce/Accounting degree qualification
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience preferred
- Proactive approach, hardworking attitude, and high accountability
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong teamwork skills and a focus on continuous improvement
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
