Overview

Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist role at South Metropolitan Health Service, based at Fremantle Hospital in the Mental Health Service. This is an exciting opportunity to establish a clinical neuropsychology service. This position provides a clinical neuropsychological service requiring a high level of knowledge, experience and competence within a multidisciplinary and professional team context. It also provides consultation, education, and supervision, on complex mental health/neuropsychological disorders across the mental health service. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to join the broader clinical psychology and clinical neuropsychology team across our services (Youth Reach South, Adult and Older Adult Mental Health services and Kara Maar Eating Disorder service) for professional development and peer supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Establish a clinical neuropsychology service within Fremantle Hospital's Mental Health Service.
  • Provide clinical neuropsychological service to patients with complex mental health/neuropsychological disorders across the service.
  • Provide consultation, education and supervision within a multidisciplinary and professional team context.
  • Join the broader clinical psychology and clinical neuropsychology teams across our services for professional development and peer supervision.

WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. This is a permanent part time appointment at 38 hours per fortnight.

While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
