Paint Mixer

Overview

A Paint Mixer/Colour Matcher is needed to join the team at our Aerospace Application Support Centre in Tullamarine, where we make PPG sealants and paints for a wide range of aircraft. Our products are pivotal in the building and upkeep of aircraft, and our customers include numerous globally recognized companies. Experience isn't required, as full training will be given to the right candidate, but we are looking for someone who is keen to learn, works hard and pays attention to detail.

The successful applicant will gain experience including setting up and cleaning equipment, filling and decanting paints to correct weight and specifications, as well as blending colours by carefully following formulations. We also need our Paint Mixer to learn how to effectively use our production equipment and be flexible to support the rest of the team, the customers' needs and the Production Supervisor. Most importantly, we expect all our team to complete all training and follow instructions to ensure that everyone goes home safe every day.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clean production equipment
• Fill and decant paints to correct weight and specifications
• Blend colours by carefully following formulations
• Learn to effectively use production equipment and support the team
• Support the Production Supervisor and respond to customers' needs as required
• Complete training and follow instructions to maintain a safe workplace
