About The Role
The Clinical Operations Manager is responsible for the oversight and operational management of clinical governance, quality assurance, and risk mitigation across all radiology services. This role ensures alignment with the company's strategic objectives, legislative requirements, and best practice guidelines. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and monitoring clinical policies and procedures, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, and leading quality improvement initiatives.

The Clinical Operations Manager is responsible for the oversight and operational management of clinical governance, quality assurance, and risk mitigation across all radiology services. This role ensures alignment with the company's strategic objectives, legislative requirements, and best practice guidelines. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and monitoring clinical policies and procedures, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, and leading quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure high standards of patient care.
- Lead clinical risk management and quality improvement initiatives across radiology practices.
- Oversee incident investigations and implement corrective actions to improve patient safety.
- Monitor clinical quality and safety data, providing reports and insights to guide operational decisions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements and maintain clinical governance frameworks.
- Manage clinical operations within budget and timelines.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Clinical Operations Team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
- Provide regular performance feedback and professional development opportunities to team members.
- Recruit and train new team members as required
- Manage team workload allocation and ensure equitable distribution of tasks.
- Promote a positive team culture aligned with organisational values and address performance issues constructively.
- Strong understanding of radiology operations and workflows
- Broad knowledge of the technological developments in radiology and how these integrate into existing workflows
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team
- Proactive and results-orientated with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
