Our Focus

Service Delivery directly connects the agency with clients and stakeholders, fostering healthy and connected communities. We provide informed advice, engage effectively, and deliver funding programs to enable participation in sports and recreation, regardless of socio-economic or geographic barriers.

Our Core Functions

  • Program Delivery: Overseeing sport and recreation programs, including First Nations initiatives, ensuring effective selection and delivery across Queensland.
    • Capacity Building and Information Provision: Supporting local and regional not-for-profit sport and recreation organisations with strategic intelligence to meet departmental goals.
      • Infrastructure: Identifying and advising on infrastructure projects aligned with departmental objectives, including delivery across Queensland.
        • Collaborate and Partner: Working with regional stakeholders and organisations to create partnerships, deliver programs, and achieve Activate objectives for local communities.

To be eligible, applicants must possess:

  • Citizenship/Visa Requirements: Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a visa permitting work in Australia, with evidence provided. Notify the department if your right to work ceases.
    • Licences: A current driver's licence is required for travel to various locations. A copy must be provided prior to engagement.
      • Working with Children Check (Blue Card): Required for roles involving education, coaching, or support services to children and young people. A valid Blue Card must be provided and will be validated before engagement. Applications remain current for 12 months.
