Senior Project Engineer

An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Project Engineer to join a growing national civil contractor supporting major infrastructure works in Western Australia. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer seeking a balance of office flexibility and hands-on project involvement, working across mining and transport infrastructure. (FIFO).

About the Role

You'll play a key role in early-stage project development, focusing on constructability, precontracts, risk analysis, and month-end reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Lead constructability assessments and support precontract activities
  • Conduct risk and opportunity analysis to validate the feasibility of planned works
  • Collaborate with engineers and site supervisors on client-aligned project delivery
  • Manage monthly cost and progress reports, ensuring accuracy and commercial insight
  • Engage with stakeholders to align project outcomes with expectations
  • Contribute to mining (e.g., tailings dams, haul roads, airstrips) and transport (e.g., bridges, roads) infrastructure delivery
About You
  • 7 + years of experience in civil engineering, preferably with contractor-side exposure
  • Proven capability across both mining and transport infrastructure projects
  • Skilled in constructability reviews, risk assessment, and commercial reporting
  • Comfortable working in both office and client-facing environments
  • Strong communication and team coordination skills
